WEST FERRY is a traditional shipping company established in October 1992 by the brothers Dimitri and Angelos Katopodis. Coming from a naval family with tradition of years at sea, they enter the ferry sector in 1983 by linking Meganissi with Nidri Lefkada for the first time with the ferry boat “LEFKAS”.
Two years later the same ship will link Nidri with Fiskardo (Kefalonia) and Frikes (Ithaca). Today WEST FERRY with the ship “CAPTAIN ARISTIDIS” continues to service the line Lefkada – Kefalonia – Ithaca consistently and responsibly with daily scheduled trips between Vasiliki, Fiskardo and Frikes, and to offer quality of services for a comfortable and safe journey. The company and the ship meet all the applicable international and national regulations (SOLAS & EUROSOLAS) and are certified for applying the International Safety Management Code (ISM CODE) of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO).
